S/Y Jennifer in Norway

S/Y Jennifer in Tromsö, the world’s northernmost city. It was from here many Arctic expeditions like Amundsen’s, Nobile’s and Nansen’s originated and they often recruited their crews here. It was also here Nansen and his vessel Fram met after his failed attempt to reach the North Pole 1895. During WWII the German battleship Tirpitz was sunk by the Brittish RAF off Tromsö 1944, killing close to 1,000 German soldiers. We have visited the interesting Tromsö Polar museum. Crewchange here; Cia E, Ulrica, P-O and Maria left and Anki, Paula, Tomas, Barbro and Ingmar joined. We are now 8 persons. Aug 3 we are off towards beautiful Lofoten, first stop Finnsnes. On the photo, part of old and new crew.Tromsö Jennifer Tromsö Tromsö crew
