S/Y Jennifer is in Selja monastery at Klostervåg, close to Statt, the Norwegian Cape Horn on the westernmost peninsula. The monastery is from around 1 000 a d and was abandoned when the Plague arrived in Norway in the 1300’. At the top is a cave where the Norwegian saint Sunniva hid long time ago. She was an Irish princess who refused to marry a Viking chief and fled to this cave. We hiked up to the cave and also the very narrow stonesteps in the tower – we felt the medieval spirits.
